Julie and Bedste took Caleb and Jade and Izzy and Graceson on a fun little field trip. We decided to go for a walk in the woods near their home. We found the small trail leading to a bigger trail through all the trees.
The children were very excited.
After 5 minutes, we knew it had been a mistake not to spray the kids with SSS or OFF. These aggressive horrible mosquitos were hungry and attacking all of us. They covered our faces and backs and any exposed skin. It was like a nightmare.
We turned around to head back out and blow off this great adventure. We walked and walked and walked.
All the children were upset and fussy and we all felt like screaming and crying...but how would that help? We needed to focus and find the small trail that led out! Where was it?
When we realized that we must have passed it....we all turned around again.....and Julie and Jade ran ahead and found the way out!
It was so HORRIBLE! Everyone was covered with gobs of brand new bites. The babies already had old mosquito bites from living without power during IKE. Poor Babies.
